Profile Picture Majid Nili Ahmadabadi was born in 1967 and received his B.S from Sharif University of Technology of Iran in 1990. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Information Sciences from the Graduate School of Information Science, Tohoku University, Japan in 1994 and 1997 respectively. In 1997, he joined the Advanced Robotics Laboratory at Tohoku University. Later he moved to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Tehran where he is an associate professor and the head of Robotics and AI Group. He is also a senior researcher at School of Cognitive Sciences, Institute for Studies on Theoretical Physics and Mathematics, Tehran, Iran. He is also member of engineering committee of Iranian National Science Foundation.
In summer 2005, Dr. Nili was with Autonomous System Laboratory at EPFL as an invited visiting professor.
Dr. Nili’s main research interest are learning in mulitagent systems, cognitive robotics, biologically inspired learning methods, distributed robotics, object manipulation, and mobile robots.
